History

The Hess‐Snyder Co. was established in 1874 in Massillon, Ohio located at 251 Erie Street South. They manufactured furnaces, stoves, friction clutch pulleys, cut‐off couplings, force and spray pumps including hydrants, wind engines, and chimney ventilators.


On January 5th, 1968 the Hess-Snyder building caught fire becoming one of if not the biggest fire in Massillon history. View photos
