Frank Gohmann was one of the founders of the National Stove Foundry, established in 1865, and located on Sycamore Street (later renamed Culbertson Avenue) New Albany, Indiana, which eventually evolved into the Terstegge, Gohmann Company, builders of Anchor Stoves and Ranges.

While attending the meeting of the Southern Stove Manufacturers' Association in Chattanooga, Tenn., Henry Terstegge died suddenly on July 17 1913 in the Hotel Patten. Mr. Terstegge was a prominent stove manufacturer and was president of the Stratton & Terstegge Co., Louisville, and the Anchor Stove & Range Co., Louisville KY., and New Albany, IN. He was also a director in in the Inter-Southern Life Insurance Co.
